- Description
The binding that lets you tour on a freeride ski without compromising the descent. The Duke PT’s toe piece converts - pins for the climb, a full alpine toe for the way down. You remove the toe unit for touring and carry it, which is the trick that keeps the uphill weight honest.
What you get
- DIN 4 to 11. Covers most skiers. If you ski hard enough to need more, the PT 13 is the same binding with a higher range.
- Removable alpine toe. Pin mode up, full alpine toe down - a genuine alpine binding on the descent, not a compromise.
- 100 and 125 mm brakes. The 125 covers genuinely wide freeride skis.
- Hybrid, properly. If you are picking one binding for a resort and backcountry ski, this is the category leader.

Mounted and tested in Longmont
Mounting is free when you buy skis and bindings from us. We set them on a calibrated jig, dial in forward pressure for your boot and test the release values before the skis leave the shop. Bring your boots - a binding set to the wrong boot length is not a binding, it is a hazard.
Common questions
Do I need tech-fitting boots? Yes, for the uphill. The toe pins need metal inserts. The descent works with any compatible alpine or GripWalk sole - bring your boots and we will check.
How heavy is it? Heavier than a pure pin binding and lighter than carrying two setups. That is the trade, and for most people it is the right one.
Which brake width? Match your ski waist or go up to about 15 mm wider. Tell us the skis and we will pick it.
Can I pick these up today? Yes, if they are in stock. Order online and choose free local pickup in Longmont, or get free shipping on orders over $200.
