Völkl Mantra 88 Skis 2027

- Description
The ski that defined the category, rebuilt again - and still the one we hand to someone who says they want one pair of skis and they want to go fast on them. The Mantra 88 is a frontside-leaning all-mountain ski with a sheet of titanal in it, which is the short explanation for why it holds an edge on hard snow long after lighter skis have let go.
What you get
- Tailored Titanal Frame. The metal is shaped differently for each length, so a 170 and a 184 behave like the same ski rather than one being a noodle and the other a plank.
- 88 mm underfoot. Narrow enough to roll edge to edge on a groomer, wide enough to handle the chopped-up afternoon. The honest everyday width for a Colorado skier who mostly stays in bounds.
- 3D Radius Sidecut. Multiple radii along the edge - tight when you lean in, long and stable when you open it up.
- Tailored Carbon Tips. Takes weight out of the tip so it swings quickly, without losing the damping that makes a Mantra a Mantra.

Mounted in Longmont
Mounting is free when you buy skis and bindings from us. We set them on a calibrated jig, dial in forward pressure for your boot and test the release values before the skis leave the shop. Bring your boots in - a binding set to the wrong boot length is not a binding, it is a hazard.
Common questions
Is this too much ski for me? If you ski blues comfortably and want to go faster, no. If you are still working on linking turns, yes - the Mantra rewards being driven and punishes being passengered. Come talk to us and we will be straight with you.
Mantra 88 or M7 Mantra? The 88 is the carver of the two - better on hard snow, quicker edge to edge. The M7 at 96 mm floats more and is the better pick if you chase storms. If you ski mostly in bounds on Front Range snow, the 88 is usually the right answer.
Which length? Roughly forehead height, adjusted for weight and speed. The 170 suits most skiers to about 5'9", the 177 is the common all-rounder, the 184 for taller or faster skiers. Tell us your height and weight.
Do these come with bindings? No - these are flat skis. We will fit bindings to your boots and mount them free when you buy both here.
Can I pick these up today? Yes, if they are in stock. Order online and choose free local pickup in Longmont, or get free shipping on orders over $200.
